Mirror
Function
This function is used to create a symmetrical duplicate of selected model elements across a specified plane of symmetry.
Operation
The user first selects the target element(s) and defines the plane of symmetry by picking three distinct points in the modeling workspace. Following the spatial definition of the mirror plane, a dialogue prompt allows the user to choose between:
- Flipping: Moving the original elements to the new position
- Mirroring: Retaining the original elements and creating a symmetrical copy
